If staying in Cancun-Puerto Morelos, drive West on highway #180, you have your choice of a modern and expensive four lane toll road or the old two lane road through all the small towns. Both are numbered 180. The toll road is recognized by the word, CUOTA or toll. The toll road is about 1.5 - 2 hours, the old road at least 2.5 –3 hours to Valladolid.
If staying in the Mayan Riviera, drive South on 307 to Tulum and take the road running northeast through Coba & Chemax, 1.5 to 2 hr. drive from Tulum.
